CERTIFICATE FOR APPLYING `ENERGY EFFICIENCY` IN CONSTRUCTION According to the estimation of Carsten Lund, at the moment in Europe there is a consent of all countries what level of energy efficiency is necessary. The greatest discussion is about various interest groups in the countries in the North and South of Europe. Countries in the North of Europe mostly tend that the percent of energy of efficiency can be much higher than in countries of the South are able to accept. The thing that exists here as a consensus is that the theme of energy efficiency is very strong and specially in the part of energy spending in households – places with the biggest percent of spent energy. Education of entrepreneurs and citizens in the activity that has a special significance in the realization of determined aims of the Strategy on introduction of Energy passport as a document on energy efficiency – features of buildings, said Boban Dzunic while congratulating project participants. Statistics here shows that in Serbia there is about 3 million of various objects which spending is approximate 150 to 200 kilowatt hour per square meter per annum, while in EU that spending is between 50 and 70 kilowatt hour. That is why it is of extreme importance, emphasized the president, to realize the savings and improve energy efficiency in construction. The examples of good practice, equipment, business contacts, like departure of our entrepreneurs to International fair and conference `Green Building 2012` on May in Italy, made this project sustainable. Zoran Zlatkovic, general manager of construction cluster `Opeka Brik`, active in Nis since 2008, said only good things about this Municipal activity. With the first licenses given and presented by Cluster chamber for energy efficiency, certificates of Palilula Municipality and LEDIB programme will allow that the members of construction cluster practically and theoretically get to know this area of energy efficiency that is relatively new for us in Serbian construction, said Zlatanovic. I will remind you that the Republic of Serbia is aiming at the improvement of energy efficiency in accordance with Directives of EU brought the Rules of conditions, content and manner of certification of the energy performance of buildings ("energy passport"), which entered into force on 30 September 2012.
